Create custom UV maps
Create custom projection content
Program a disguise media server
Client Pitch
For Ryan, the primary purpose for taking this Independent Study was to strengthen his understanding of content creation workflow, and be able to demonstrate his proficiency with disguise media server. This particular semester (Spring 2020) provided some additional challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ryan was quick to adjust his timeline and collaborate with the faculty advisor to resolve hardware access issues due to the shift to 100% online instruction.

Francisco Uribe registered for this Independent Study after a brief conversation regarding a newly emerging previsualization workflow called EVO (External Visualizer Overlay), created by the team at disguise. Prior to the Spring 2020 semester, Francisco maintained a strong understanding of lighting previsualization workflow and he was eager to spend more time working with the disguise media server. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing all instruction to 100% online, Francisco intended on presenting his project not only in previsualization form, but also projected onto a fabricated scale model designed, laser cut, 3D printed and assembled by Francisco.
Over the course of a semester, Francisco successfully completed the following:
Design, draft, model, laser cut, 3D print and assemble a scale model of the performance venue and stage
Design an original light plot and subsequent lighting cues utilizing Vectorworks, Lightconverse, and Hog4 lighting platform.
Created custom projection content
Program a disguise media server
Fully integrated Lightconverse previsualization software and camera placement with disguise previsualization
